Outsource your submittals to a team that does only submittals
Your project managers should be running jobs, not hunting cut sheets at 9 p.m. Send us the spec book and drawings: we prepare the complete submittal packages, keep the log current and answer reviewer comments, all under your company name, at a flat price per package.
What you can hand off to us
Take the whole submittal workload off your team, or just the packages you are behind on. Either way you get the same spec-checked, bookmarked, GC-ready PDF.
Start of job
Submittal register
We read Division 01 and every Part 1 submittal article in your scope and build the complete list of required submittals with numbers and due dates.
Product data
Product data packages
Cut sheets for the exact model, options and accessories, highlighted and checked line by line against Part 2 of each section.
Drawings
Shop drawing packages
Shop drawings organized and coordinated with the product data, with drawing and detail references the reviewer can follow.
Comments
Resubmittals
Every reviewer comment answered one by one, with the corrected package and a response letter that shows what changed.
Substitutions
Substitution requests
Comparison sheets that show how a proposed product meets or differs from the basis of design, in the format the spec requires.
Closeout
O&M manuals & closeout
Warranties, maintenance data, attic stock and as-built information assembled into the closeout binders the owner expects.
Section numbers follow CSI MasterFormat. Your project manual always governs: we build each package from its own Part 1 submittal requirements. Need another section? See the full CSI divisions list.
Every package we deliver includes
- Transmittal cover sheet for every package, numbered by spec section and revision
- Bookmarked, indexed PDF so reviewers can jump straight to each item
- Line-by-line spec check against Part 2 (products) and the Part 1 submittal article
- Marked-up product data: the exact model, size, options and accessories highlighted
- Deviations listed up front, never buried, with the reason for each
- RFI drafts when the drawings and specs conflict, instead of guessing
- Resubmittals that answer every reviewer comment, one by one
Signs it is time to outsource submittals
- Submittals are on the critical path and the GC is asking for them weekly
- Your PMs or estimators are building packages at night and on weekends
- Packages come back “Revise and Resubmit” for missing items, not product problems
- You just won a job bigger than your office can paper
- You bid federally funded or LEED work and the documentation requirements are new to you
- Hiring a full-time submittal coordinator is not justified by your workload
More on this: common reasons submittals get rejected.

SubmittalShop compared with the usual options
| SubmittalShop | The alternative | |
|---|---|---|
| Freelancer or gig marketplace | A team that prepares submittals every day, with a consistent format and quality check | Quality and availability vary from person to person; you manage and check the work |
| Full-time submittal coordinator | Pay per package only when you have work; no salary, benefits or idle time | Full salary year-round, plus hiring and training |
| Submittal software | We do the work; you get finished packages | Monthly per-seat fees, and your team still builds every package |
| Doing it in-house at night | Your PMs stay on the jobsite and the schedule | Late packages, missed items and burnout |
Frequently asked questions
Will the submittals have our company name on them?
Yes. Packages go out under your company name and on your or the GC’s transmittal format. We work behind the scenes; the reviewer sees your submittal.
What do you need from us to start?
The spec sections in your scope, the drawings and addenda, and any products you have already bought or priced. If you have a GC-required transmittal format or platform, send that too.
Can you upload to Procore or the GC’s platform?
We deliver a finished, bookmarked PDF and the cover sheet, ready for you to upload. If you prefer that we work inside your platform, tell us when you request a quote.
Which trades and divisions do you cover?
All CSI divisions, from concrete and steel through finishes, MEP, fire protection and electrical. See the services page for the full list.
How is pricing set?
A flat price per package or per spec section that you approve before we start, with one round of revisions for reviewer comments included. Additional small work, such as a product added later, can be quoted separately.
Send us your spec book. Get a flat quote in 48–72 hours.
No account, no software and no retainer. Tell us the sections you need and we price exactly that.
