Finishes submittals for drywall, tile, ceilings, flooring and paint

We prepare Division 09 submittals for finish contractors: gypsum board assemblies and framing, tile, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpet and coatings. Product data, samples and finish schedules are tied back to the architect's finish legend.

What we prepare

Division 09 submittals we prepare

Finishes submittals are judged against the finish legend and the rated assemblies on the drawings. We match every product to its finish code and every partition to its tested assembly, and track samples so the physical selections match the paperwork.

Section numbers follow CSI MasterFormat. Your project manual always governs: we build each package from its own Part 1 submittal requirements. Need another section? See the full CSI divisions list.

Every package we deliver includes

  • Transmittal cover sheet for every package, numbered by spec section and revision
  • Bookmarked, indexed PDF so reviewers can jump straight to each item
  • Line-by-line spec check against Part 2 (products) and the Part 1 submittal article
  • Marked-up product data: the exact model, size, options and accessories highlighted
  • Deviations listed up front, never buried, with the reason for each
  • RFI drafts when the drawings and specs conflict, instead of guessing
  • Resubmittals that answer every reviewer comment, one by one

Why finishes submittals get sent back

  • Products or colors that don't match the finish legend codes
  • Partition components that don't belong to the tested fire-rated assembly
  • Samples sent without labels tying them to finish codes and locations
  • Paint systems that skip the primer or coat counts the spec requires
  • Missing VOC, recycled-content or other sustainability documentation
  • Extra-stock quantities not stated

More on this: common reasons submittals get rejected.

Frequently asked questions

Do you track physical samples?

We prepare the sample transmittals and a schedule that ties each sample to its finish code, location and spec section, so the samples you send match the product data in the package.

Can you match partitions to UL assemblies?

Yes. We check each partition type against its listed design number and make sure the framing, board type and accessories in the submittal belong to that assembly.

Do you include sustainability documentation?

Yes. When the spec requires VOC content, recycled content or other environmental data, we collect it from the manufacturers and include it with the product data.

How are finishes submittals priced?

As a flat quote per package, based on the Division 09 sections in your scope, sent within 48 to 72 hours.
