Electrical submittals for gear, lighting, devices and fire alarm

We prepare Division 26, 27 and 28 submittals for electrical contractors: distribution equipment, lighting fixtures, wiring devices, raceway, generators, fire alarm and low voltage. Ratings, catalog numbers and options are checked against the drawings and specs.

What we prepare

Electrical and systems submittals we prepare

Electrical reviewers check ratings first: voltage, amperage, interrupting rating, enclosure type. We build every gear package from the one-line diagram and panel schedules, and every lighting package from the fixture schedule, so the numbers match before review.

26 24 13 / 26 24 16

Switchboards & panelboards

Shop drawings with bus ratings, short-circuit ratings, breaker schedules and enclosure types, matched to the one-line diagram and panel schedules.

26 22 00

Low-voltage transformers

kVA, voltages, taps, impedance, temperature rise, efficiency and dimensions for each transformer tag.

26 28 16 / 26 29 23

Disconnects, breakers & VFDs

Enclosed switches and breakers by NEMA rating, and variable frequency drives with harmonic data where the spec requires it.

26 32 13 / 26 36 00

Generators & transfer switches

Generator ratings, enclosure, fuel and sound data, plus ATS ratings, transition type and sequence of operation.

26 51 00

Interior & exterior lighting

Fixture cut sheets by schedule type with lamp, lumen, CCT, driver, dimming and mounting options marked, plus controls.

26 27 26

Wiring devices

Receptacles, switches, GFCI and USB devices, plates and colors per the device schedule and finish standards.

26 05 19 / 26 05 33

Conductors, raceway & boxes

Wire and cable types, conduit and fittings, boxes and enclosures with listings and approved uses.

28 46 00

Fire detection & alarm

Device data sheets, riser diagrams, device layouts and battery and voltage-drop calculations, prepared for your fire alarm designer's review where licensing requires it.

27 00 00

Communications & low voltage

Cabling, pathways, racks and devices for data, security and AV as the specifications define them.

Section numbers follow CSI MasterFormat. Your project manual always governs: we build each package from its own Part 1 submittal requirements. Need another section? See the full CSI divisions list.

Every package we deliver includes

  • Transmittal cover sheet for every package, numbered by spec section and revision
  • Bookmarked, indexed PDF so reviewers can jump straight to each item
  • Line-by-line spec check against Part 2 (products) and the Part 1 submittal article
  • Marked-up product data: the exact model, size, options and accessories highlighted
  • Deviations listed up front, never buried, with the reason for each
  • RFI drafts when the drawings and specs conflict, instead of guessing
  • Resubmittals that answer every reviewer comment, one by one

Why electrical submittals get sent back

  • Interrupting or short-circuit ratings below the values on the one-line diagram
  • Panel schedules that don't match the drawings' circuit counts or breaker sizes
  • Lighting cut sheets with the catalog number options left unmarked
  • Fixture substitutions without photometric or performance comparison
  • Enclosure types that don't suit the installed location (for example indoor gear outdoors)
  • Missing UL listings, warranties or test reports the spec requires

More on this: common reasons submittals get rejected.

Frequently asked questions

Do you coordinate gear submittals with your distributor's drawings?

Yes. Distributors often provide the gear drawings. We review them against the one-line diagram, schedules and specs, mark up what doesn't comply, and assemble the final package with the cover sheet and compliance notes.

Can you prepare a lighting fixture package from the schedule?

Yes. We build the package type by type from the fixture schedule, marking the complete catalog number and options on each cut sheet and noting any substitutions.

Do you prepare fire alarm shop drawings?

We prepare fire alarm product data and drawing packages. Many jurisdictions require a licensed or NICET-certified designer to prepare or sign fire alarm drawings, so tell us your jurisdiction when you request a quote and we will confirm the scope before pricing.

How are electrical submittals priced?

As a flat quote per package or spec section, sent within 48 to 72 hours of receiving the specs and drawings.

Send us your spec book. Get a flat quote in 48–72 hours.

No account, no software and no retainer. Tell us the sections you need and we price exactly that.
